Estimates
Most free bid estimates can be done
right over the phone or through email, please follow the
instructions below.*
By Phone:
To expedite your bid estimate, please try and have the
following information available.
1. What areas you are looking to have work done on
(bathroom, kitchen, floors, walls etc.)
2. The type/size of tile (Example: standard white 4 1/4"
x 4 1/4" or 3" x 6" etc.)
3. Type of trim if any
4. The area size
5. The general condition of the tile (any loose, cracked
or missing tiles etc)
6. General location (Example: Manhattan, West Village,
West 12th Street near 6th Ave.)
7. The height and width of the tile in the surround (the
area around the tub generally three walls although some
bathroom surround have only two walls)
8. The height and width of the tile in the wrap around,
if any (the rest of the room minus surround that wraps
around the room)
In the event you reach our voice mail please remember to
briefly state the best time(s) to call and the general
scope of work. Please do NOT state all of the above
information.
*Please note: While phone and email bid estimates are
generally "on the money", due to the nature of second
party information, ultimate pricing is subject to final
walk through with client.
Reference
Policy
We
only offer references after a bid is accepted by a new
client. Obviously the job would not begin until after
that client verifies the references.
Unlike other companies ALL of our references are past or
ongoing clients and we prefer to only use a reference a
few times. Many inquires never go beyond the first call.
If we were to offer two references every time someone
contacted us, we would quickly run out of references.
Other companies, who are quick to offer references,
without a bid in place, are most times just giving you
the names of family, friends or associates.
If you would like to proceed to the bid phase we can
often do it right over the phone, if we need to see the
job we also offer free on-site estimates.
Discounts and
Preferred Packaging
Groutman Home Improvement offers
competitive pricing for the level of experience and
expertise we bring to a job. We do however offer
discounts and preferred packaging based on a variety of
issues.
70% of our work is through referral. We do not offer
discounts on promises of future referrals. Unless a
multiple job comes in at the same (a client arranging to
have their and a friend's bathroom done simultaneously)
all the promises of referrals really amount to nothing.
After we complete a job, if you bring us more work we
will be happy to discuss a discount or even a referral
fee however this cannot be offered on the initial work.
We do however offer preferred rates or referral fees to
general contractors, interior designers, plumbing GCs
and building management companies. Whether you prefer to
pay us directly or have us charge the client, your
relationship with your client is protected. All our
employees are polite professionals used to working in
high end lofts, apt buildings and private homes...we
always make you look good to your client!
